Ok, as a person who is very passionate about technology, I hit the mecca of cool today. I had my very first experience in going to a Fry’s Electronics superstore. This place is unbelievable! Think of two Sam’s clubs or two Cosco’s and you have how big Fry’s is.
Their motto is, “If you can plug it in, we have it.” That is extremely accurate. The place is covered in technology ranging from computers to computer parts, stereos, TVs, appliances, atomic clocks, telescopes, oscilliscopes, and even obscure computer cables. In Indiana, they are located at I-69 and 96th street. They are just now moving into the Midwest because they are a California-based company.
While I was at Fry’s, I decided to take advantage of the low cost of DVD burners. So I bought a nice Toshiba DVD burner that runs at 16X for DVD-R. Not too shabby…all of this fun for a mere $89.99.
If you haven’t been to a Fry’s yet, I suggest you take a look at their website.
